1 Cup Coffee Maker
Coffee Creme Brulee Recipe
Serve: 6
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups sweet cream
3/4 cup sugar
5 servings short espresso
6 egg yolks
6 tablespoons brown sugar
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 375 degree F. Mix the cream and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. In a separated bowl, carefully pour in the espresso. Then add in the boiling sweetened cream. Beat the coffee-cream mixture until blended. Beat in the egg yolks until well mixed. Slowly transfer the mixture into 6 individual porcelain creme brulee cups. Transfer the cups into a baking pan with high sides and arrange in the way that it reaches one inch up the sides of the cups. Transfer to oven and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven. Set aside to cool for 40 minutes. Wrap the cups with plastic wrap and chill for 3 hours. Before serving, remove from the refrigerator and sprinkle with a tablespoon of brown sugar to each cup and send to the broiler to heat for 1 1/2 minutes.
Coffee Parfait Recipe
Serve: 6
Ingredients:
6 egg whites
1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
2 1/4 cups sweet cream
1 1/4 tablespoons instant coffee dissolved in 1 tablespoon boiling water.
Preparation:
Set the speed of an electric mixer to high. Beat the egg whites in a bowl with the electric mixer until they begin to foam. Slowly add in the confectioner's sugar. Beat the mixture further until it forms stiff peaks. Place the cream in a separate bowl. Use the electric mixer to whip the cream until it forms soft peaks. Spoon the cream over the beaten egg whites. Fold in the coffee and mix until the mixture becomes blended. Transfer the mixture to 6 individual serving cups and freeze for 3 hours. Remove from the freezer and serve.
