This article will review the Senseo SL7810/65, a popular mid priced single cup machine. It works with pre-measured sealed coffee pods that come in a variety of flavors. It brews up to 8 ounces in less than one minute.

Two pod holders are included with the machine. One is a shallow holder that holds one coffee pod for one cup, the other holds two pods for two cups,or one 8-ounce mug. Up to five 4-ounce cups can be brewed on one reservoir of water.

The Senseo measures 9.2 x 13.8 x 14.6 inches and comes with a 2 year limited warranty. It does not have a removable water reservoir, a timer, or variable strength settings.

For somewhat of a low to mid priced coffee maker, the Senseo gets high ratings from users who have written reviews. Many seemed to like it better than other higher priced brands they had previously owned.

The more common likes about this particular model was the ease of use and the reasonable price of the pods. Other features customers liked was the easy clean up, fast warmup, pressurized system which makes a frothy topping, and it's reliability.

The Melitta One Cup Coffee Maker is one of the first coffee pod brewers introduced in the United States. This brewer has been redesigned to have a more modern look (it now resembles a rocket ship) and aside from making an excellent coffee brew, it can also brew tea.

There are two variants of the new Melitta One Cup Coffee brewer available: the MES5B and MES2R.

Despite the coffee maker being loaded with features, brewing coffee with it is as easy as 1-2-3. It is a one pod brewing system that allows the user to brew directly into one or two coffee cups.

Its brew chamber can accommodate single serve and double serve coffee pod holders. You can choose your brew size from the 5, 8, and 14 oz range available.

Most coffee connoisseurs recommend setting to the 5oz for a strong cup and 8oz size for a regular cup of coffee. Another added element is the auto shut-off after brewing feature so there is no need for the user to worry about the coffee brewing when he leaves the coffee machine while it is still in the brewing process.

Brewing time takes about 45 to 60 seconds and the brew temperature is consistent between 185 to 195F. One notable difference and improvement from the original version is that the new Melitta one now has a universal pod holder that accepts other pod sizes, including the 62mm pod.

Previously, the Melitta One only accepted their own brand java pods. Now, it can be paired with premium coffee blends such as those from Green Mountain coffee, she will unfailingly produce rich, flavorful coffee one cup at a time.

The best thing about this machine is the fact that it is so affordable, with a retail price ranging from -45 for MES2R and for the MES5B.

The B77 offers one touch brewing and is capable of making up to ten cups before refilling. Brewing sizes are 4ounce,6 ounce, 8 ounce and 10 ounce. It features Keurig's New Quiet Brew TechnologyTM which means quieter operation than previous models. It measures 13"H x 10"W x 13.25"D.

It also has a removable 60 ounce water reservoir. Other features include a programmable LCD control center, 24-hour digital clock and removable drip tray. It is classified as mid-range, which means it falls into the mid to upper range price level.

So what do actual customers who have reviewed this machine have to say? Well it seems like they either love it or hate it. The positive reviews focused on the convenience of the large water reservoir, the speed at which the coffee is brewed, and the the ease of cleaning.

So what were the complaints some users had? It seems some users complained that the unit stopped pumping water into the KCUP and pumped water back into the reservoir. To be fair, those who complained about the so-called pump problem were in the minority. One user even posted a simple 3 step solution to fix this and avoid future complications.

This simple fix was as follows 1) manually push the KCup onto the bottom needle releasing the internal pressure of the Kcup then close the unit. 2) after making coffee immediately remove KCup never leave the KCup in the Keurig. 3) every 2 or 3 cups run a small cup of just water through with Kcup removed. This user reported he had no further problems with his machine.

So is the Keurig B77 a reliable coffee maker? The majority of people who reviewed this product said yes, and they would recommend it to a friend. As is always the case with any product, you can't please everybody. Thats just the way it is with everything from coffee makers to automobiles.

Special Edition Brewer. The Special Edition is an affordable one step up from the Elite Brewer and is still considered a home coffee maker. The Special Edition begins the "luxury" class of Keurig's coffee makers. To begin with the design and styling for the Special Edition is more sophisticated and contemporary (think Yuppie!). The deluxe coffee maker has three brew size options, and features an automatic on/off switch, adjustable temperature control, and a digital clock. Like the Elite, the Special Edition holds up to 48 ounces of water in its reservoir and comes with a removable tray so you can clean it easier as well as fill up your travel mug. The Special Edition is a superb buy.

Platinum Home Brewer. Keurig has done a very smart thing. They have been very systematic in their low end to high end coffee makers. You can see (and taste) the progression. The Platinum Brewer is a step up from the Special Edition brewer. It is their best single-cup brewing system for the home. You have five cup size options for home brewing. The Platinum features an automatic on/off switch, adjustable temperature control, and a digital clock. and a "set your favorite cup size" option, something the previous four models never had. The Platinum's reservoir is almost double the size of the previous three models, and standard removable drip cup makes it easy to clean and to fill up a travel mug. You don't want to miss this machine, and you'll wonder why it took you so long to convert!
